Red Light Therapy at Home by RLT Home

What is Red Light Therapy?

Red light therapy is a skin/body and mind treatment that uses LEDs to shine concentrated red and near infrared light wavelengths into our skins with the intention of absorption and penetration.

When this penetration occurs, our body heals, bringing health benefits like increased collagen production that makes the skin look younger, improved skin tone, reduction in inflammation/ redness of the skin, hair growth, anti aging, weight reduction, faster muscle recovery, eye healing and mental health related benefits to name a few.

Depth of Penetration

The penetration depth of the light into the skin increases with longer wavelengths. The skin’s receptors absorb the red light, converting it into a bio-effect.

This doesn't mean that any red-colored light bulb can do a therapeutic job on your skin. The efficacy of red light therapy, particularly when performed at home, is heavily reliant on the light’s specific “wavelength and intensity.” Various carefully studied wavelength are associated with unique healing benefits.

With our state-of-the-art TotalSpectrum series of red light therapy devices, it is now possible to enjoy these healing properties of red light therapy at home.

What Can You Heal at Home?

At home red light therapy can cure fine lines and wrinkles, signs of aging, acne, hair loss, sore muscles, skin redness, help with weight loss, improve vision, treat eye conditions, treat mental health, all with voice based commands using our panels.

The Visible Light Spectrum:

The visible light spectrum includes blue, yellow, amber, and red light, while infrared light, characterized by longer wavelengths, lies beyond this spectrum and is invisible to the human eye.

Red light wavelengths range from 600 to 750 nanometers, and infrared light ranges from 750 to 880 nanometers.

Infrared light comes after red light in the light spectrum; is of a longer wavelength and is invisible to the naked human eye.

The Most Effective Wavelengths

610nm (Red Light): This wavelength is especially effective for addressing skin conditions, promoting wound healing, and improving skin rejuvenation. It helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improving overall skin complexion.

630nm (Red Light): Targets a variety of skin conditions such as lines, wrinkles, signs of aging, psoriasis, superficial skin cancers, and acne. Additionally, it has proven benefits in promoting hair growth and revitalizing the skin.

660nm (Red Light): Aids significantly in reducing training fatigue, inflammation, and swelling following an injury. It also accelerates wound healing, aids in muscle recovery, and addresses nerve pain.

810nm (Near-Infrared Light): Enhances recovery processes, supports brain function, and promotes hair regrowth. Additionally, it has been found to alleviate symptoms of depression & anxiety, making it beneficial for mental well-being.

830nm (Near-Infrared Light): This wavelength is known for its anti-inflammatory properties, helping to fight infections, reduce swelling and bruising, and assist athletes in achieving rapid recovery from strenuous activities.

850nm (Near-Infrared Light): Particularly beneficial for addressing muscle pain, aiding in muscle gain, and enhancing muscle repair post-workout. Additionally, this wavelength is known to enhance the benefits of all the above-mentioned wavelengths, providing a comprehensive light therapy experience.

Why the Hype About Multiple Wavelengths?

Our at home red light therapy devices, the TotalSpectrum series are engineered to provide all beneficial red and infrared wavelengths simultaneously, ensuring enhanced and faster results.

Your specific goals will determine the type of light therapy you choose, whether it’s to diminish signs of aging with red light or a combination with infrared, or focus on muscle recovery.

Thanks to modern red light therapy at home devices, it has become affordable and convenient to manage your well-being with red light therapy at home.

Powerful Red Light Therapy

Importance of Irradiance

Irradiance plays a crucial role in the effectiveness of red light therapy, with both the wavelength and intensity of the light being paramount.

To tap into the full spectrum of therapeutic benefits, ensuring adequate power density measured in milliwatts per square centimeter (mW/cm^2) is essential, as it dictates the amount of energy delivered to the skin.

Understanding the correct distance between the light source and the skin is crucial, as it affects the irradiance level. The closer the light, the higher the irradiance and vice versa. Therefore, adjusting the distance based on the specific treatment and desired outcome ensures optimal results.
